What Is A Quality Backlink?

Whether you’ve a blog or a static site, backlinks are or equal importance for all types of sites and the most important thing is to have quality backlinks. The more qualitative backlinks you’ve the much better ranking you’ll have.  Now there may be many definitions of quality backlinks, but I’ll share my own that’s based on my personal experience.

Well, for me a quality back link has following attributes:

• Comes from a reputable source, i.e. a website with good quality content
• Must not have ‘nofollow’ tag
• Resides within text content.
• Is wrapped in an anchor text
• Comes from a page with high PR
• Is placed on a relevant site or is in relevant content at least
• The page where link is placed gets updated frequently
• Comes from an authority site
• The page where link is placed has enough backlinks

A quality backlink can either have all of the above attributes or at least few of them.
