Being active on social networks doesn’t only connect you with your friends but can return you a good value of the time you spend there. It depends totally on how effectively you market your website/blog there. Creating a fan page for your blog and marketing it well on Facebook can help you getting more traffic and so better earnings.
It’s more viral in nature and your part of marketing effort is comparatively easier here. You create a fan page, and update it with same interesting content you post on your blog, and people get notified about it right in their Facebook Home. The more interesting content is, the more people will share it with their friends. Well, here’re some useful tips to make your fan page marketing more successful.
- Do not send a fan request to your friends right after creating the fan page. First fill it with useful content.
- Do not forget to send fan request to your IM contacts and ask them to share the page.
- Update your fan page regularly with interactive content.
- Promote your fan page with Facebook advertising using discount coupons.
- Do place a link to fan page on your blog.
- Be an active participant on your fan page.
- Promote your fan page on social bookmarks.
You can add up more efforts depending on the type of page!

Very well written….. just want to know how much traffic we can get from a Facebook fan page?
Well Maria, it depends…. the more interesting the content is the more traffic will be there!
Great ! Except advertising my fan page I do all the things as said by you.
Good Sharing nice article thank you
Keeping up with new content for your facebook page is key. I suggest posting once a day and if you have more to post just wait until the next day to keep people reading. Even if they don’t read what you post they will know that you do post things and actually care for your business or website. I’ve done some advertising for fans on facebook and it isn’t the easiest task to convince someone to ‘become a fan’ of a small business. Great tips though!
@Jared
Totally agree with your point. Will add a little more into it….. posting something that creates interest and urges the fans to post comments will work too good…. some news, a controversy or something just for fun may be!
